Mon, 06 Jan 2014 00:42:45 +0000http://www.sometimeslife.com/?p=808#comment-19958Kay this is so beautiful honest and clear. I feel the shift in your perceptions. I too suffered from all kinds of anxiety and lots of therapy. But somehow after my Dad died things got a lot quieter in my whole being. Maturity perhaps but also the profound realization that time here is truly finite. I’d rather not waste another minute worrying about something that isn’t actually even happening and likely won’t. When the “worst” thing happens and you come out the other side you realize how precious each day is and want be present as much as possible. I would say you were 100% present in writing this piece. I love that Ester will inherit your words and thoughts and really know who her mom is and that she is truly loved. And PS I don’t have kids and I still have that voice that wants more from myself and my career and the dreams and the what if and the blah blah blah… Wait.. Stop. Back to the beauty that is happening right now. Thanks for the reminder and the great writing.

So moved by your writing….so grateful that you shared your thoughts and bared your soul to us. Your mom is smiling with pride right now. I am certain of it.
I am honored to be your friend.

You put me in a place where I could feel and see what you felt and saw. What a beautiful gift your Mom gave to you and what a wonderful experience to share with your daughter!
